State v. May

On April 28, 2025, a jury will be selected to hear the case of State of Oklahoma v. Jason D. May in District Court of Carter County Case No. CF-2023-321. The trial is expected to begin on April 29, and will likely conclude late that week or early the following week. The charges against Jason relate to allegations that he knowingly filed false documents with the court between 2019 and 2022.

Due to the pending status of the case, Jason has made no public comments regarding the allegations other than to state that he maintains his innocence and is looking forward to his day in court. We do encourage anyone who wishes to show their support to attend the trial. Please note that although the trial is open to the public, the judge has ruled that no cellular phones, recording devices, banners, or any other public displays of support will be allowed inside the courtroom.

Our office will be closed the week of April 28 so that Jason and the rest of our staff can focus on clearing Jason’s name. We will resume normal operations on May 5, assuming the trial has concluded by that date.

If anyone who cannot attend the trial wants to stay informed, the pleadings filed in the case are public records and can be viewed using the link found below.
